OFFICIALS from the national Department of Public Works travelled all the way from Pretoria to the Simama Centre for Career and Professional Development in Kokstad to profile the NPO’s impactful work in the local community.
The NPO drives education programmes to the local community and surrounding areas, helps matrics apply for tertiary education, provides capacity building and skills opportunities, a soup kitchen and white door centre services.
Delighted Nokhuthala Siqwayi, the NPO’s founder, said that the visit from the Department of Public Works was fruitful as she received good news that a building would be built for them in Shayamoya to render soup kitchen and other services.
She said a site was identified for the NPO to build a facility.
