MOUNT Fletcher-based author Tlotlisang David Mhlambiso has been using his writing skills to promote literacy and heritage through storytelling.

He has published seven books including his latest book called Zizinto Zobomi, dedicated to promoting literacy and indigenous languages especially among young people.

The book also highlights the human condition, especially during times of difficulty. Mhlambiso said that he was assisted by the National Libraries of South Africa and the Department of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture to publish the book.

“I wanted to share African stories and inspire people to be proud of their heritage,” he said, adding that storytelling can encourage people to take care of each other.

Zizinto Zobomi can be found in libraries.
